These Thunder Storms: (July 31st,2020)

Rating: 5.0

These thunder storms strip away
All flowery illusions. They are
Nature's's harsh antidote for
Idle hours spent basking in the sun.
The world crashes down upon us,
In sudden, dark, torrential moments.
In some ways, we feel more in
Touch with a sense of mortality.

Thanks Shaun...there was a mistake in the final line which I have corrected.now reads.mortality rather than morality...very different meaning and undoubtedly more negative!

Finally I can make a comment for some reason the box wouldn't let me. Anyway, a positive poem albeit negative ioned and charged poem which states its case in how fragile we all truly are.10++ and many thanks Dominic for sharing your poem of our place in this natural world.
