They Know Nothing About Us Poem by Diana Lvova

They Know Nothing About Us

Rating: 4.3

When you find yourself half naked
Barefeet on the sands of the homeland shores
Just remember that we will make it
That my heart and my soul are forever yours

When you walk down the streets you've been longing
Think of me walking quietly by your side
Think of all those nights and mornings
And my hair in shimmer of Lisbon's lights

Curl your toes in the sand, hear the sounds
Of the freedom of those relentless waves
Breaking effortlessly over clouds…
Feel the depth of the ocean that never ends

When you hear them say people fake it
And that all that we love will turn to dust
Just remember that we will make it
They know nothing about us.
