My baby boy, my beautiful son
The whole year old you've just become
The whole life long you have ahead
Tall, big and strong you will soon get
The whole world wide you'll spread your wings
You'll see so many beautiful things
You'll reach up high and touch the stars
The whole sky full, the whole night bright
You'll sail your ship and find new shores
You'll catch the wind and change its course
You'll look ahead and find your light
The whole sky full, the whole sun bright
And I will always be your bay
For every storm that comes your way
I'll watch you grow, for you I'll pray
I'll love you more and more each day

Lovely poem about own son, four quatrains long about the future of the son, BUT my quastion here: where is his Daddy, her husband, does the poetess watch herself the growth of her son, OR together? I have not read any about his father BUT that makes no difference
Congrats on POD. This is a sweet poem. I love the line - and I will always be your bay. Great metaphor. Can't wait to read more of your poems.
