They said it mattered if someone loved you.
It mattered seriously if you were loved
Someone said someone's caring was off utmost.
But they were wrong.

It mattered whether you were loved by God.
What God prepared for us was of the essence;
What mattered was the love of God
Was in your heart deep.

They said it mattered if someone loved you.
It mattered seriously if you were loved by someone.
Did you know God was of the essence?
Did you realize how he loves you?

They said it mattered if someone loved you.
But God's love was what you sought.
But you never realized it.
It was God's love that was the essence because he loves you.
