They tell us what we want to hear
And them we do want to believe
We leave our thoughts open to fear
By trusting those who love to deceive.
We vote them in on voting day
They call it majority rule
They see the voters as quite gullible
Though not everyone is a fool.
By declaring war on terrorism they cling to power
And we are convinced they can protect us from violent crime
With us they play their negative games
And for them it works all of the time.
To them it comes so easy to lie
And one lie leads to another some say
In Parliament deception is rife
And there many lies are told every day.
They must think that we all are fools
And they do fool the majority
But they only lead us to war
And far away from harmony.
