Thieves Prey Upon Innocent Easy Victims Poem by Terence George Craddock

Thieves Prey Upon Innocent Easy Victims

Rating: 5.0

the thief who preys upon innocent people
is as mean as a nasty beak mugging parrot
coveting shiny things stealing beak and claw
greedy greedy greedy thieves steal more more more
thieves nasty sly terrible attacking sharp beak parrots
con artist muggers the nimble claws stealing kind can
can peak at a passing heart swoop in for quick steal
instant thief shatters a pleasant happy mind fatal

I wrote the poem 'Responsibility Risk Writing Poetic Dedication Poems', inspired by a comment on my poem 'Thieves Prey Upon Innocent Easy Victims', made by the poet M. Asim Nehal and dedicated to M. Asim Nehal.

I feel both responsibility and risk when writing a poem inspired by a fellow poet's treasured poem. Results are not predictable so it is a relief if a dedication is received favourably.
