Thinking About Easter Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Thinking About Easter

Rating: 5.0

approaching Easter
we've come closer to the gate of enjoyment
Enjoy after such longest saddest days, weeks,

after days and weeks of sad silences
intercede now and approach
the risen Christ

three days after His crucifixion,
the living risen Christ,
Yes, that's Him!
so Powerful
and strong
He never did any wrong
the only Man without sin

Believe it or not
He is our living God
He loves us all indiscriminately
whether we are rich, poor or ugly

now we are moving towards
the days for this biggest feast
Easter
with the lamb nearest to us
certainly a myriad plus

Do you still remember Jesus on Calvary?
On the cross?
He suffered from the worst pains
His crucifixion
God's greatest sacrifaction
to humanity
