My mind wandered unprovoked
To thoughts of you today
I wondered how your doing
And if you ever think of me
Are you now in a happy place
Or still as miserable as the past

Has time apart been good for you
Or are you mostly glad we're done
Do you succumb sometimes to flashbacks
Of our time together shared
And remember all the laughter
And the fun that we both had

Bittersweet are memories
Of us without a care
Excited for the future
Hypnotised by lust
Finally together
Lost soul mates
Re unite

So confused
So very sad
At how bizarre our life
To have so much and lose it all
Love soulfully destroyed
