This Feels So Right Poem by Kimberly Lindsey

This Feels So Right

I love to hear you speak my name. I love to hear you say it.
When you whisper that you love me, it makes me weak.
I love to hear your voice, and all the stories that you tell,
You make me laugh, God knows I need it.

When you say, you want to spend the rest of your life with me,
It makes me feel wonderful, and warm inside.
I don’t know how you do it, but you have gotten deep inside,
Of my heart.

And now I know I love you, can’t imagine life without you.
And I can’t wait for the day, when we wed.
I want to be your wife, in every sense, in every way.
And I want you to be my husband, lover and friend.

I can see us as we age, growing old, and still in love.
I can see us doing so many things, with family and friends,
We will make it baby, all the way to the end.

I can’t believe I fought so hard, to protect my soul and heart,
And now I want to give you what you wanted all along.
I was so frightened, and defeated, from the past, and didn’t know,
That, I needed you, to make me whole.

This feels so right, I want to love you, it feels so right, I want to hold you.
All I want is for us both, to be happy.
And I think we’re headed down the right road.
