So, what are we to do until the end?
But believe this is the Garden of Eden
This is God's country, my friend.
Let's wage no more wars today or tomorrow.
Let's savour the fact that we are here and we are alive.
And make it our foremost drive.
Not just to strive and survive
But to truly enjoy life's highs
And even more importantly, cherish the lows.
Without which you would never know you are rich.
Sheltered from the old sewers of Shoreditch.
To mourn is to miss
And if you could solemnly wish
You would wish it maybe all came again…
Even if many times over it all ended the same
This is God's country, my friend.
So, what are we to do until the end?
But believe this is the Garden of Eden
This is God's country, my friend.
So, let's shake hands.
You've tasted love; you've tasted hate.
The choice is yours to live or break.
To be true to yourself original not fake
This is God's country, my friend.
And if you don't love me
Just go -drown in a lake.
Because this is God's country, my friend.
And I don't need or want to hesitate
To love what I see and desire
Because I'm no phoney, I'm no fake
So, what are we to do until the end?
But believe this is the Garden of Eden
This is God's country, my friend.
And are we not all here born for a better beginning
And an even better end?
