This Is My Truth Poem by Twilight Whispers

This Is My Truth

When I say I love you I mean it, I do,
When I say I am here I am here.
When I say that I need you I speak the truth,
But you don't listen so you don't hear.

You say that I treat you like the devil's child,
That I've forgotten you and left you behind.
I say that I've been coping with death on my own,
Recovery is what I've been trying to find.

You can shout and spit and throw me your thoughts,
I'd rather you be honest and open.
But please take this, from your truthful friend,
That it's not worth ending like this.
