This Is Not Paradise Poem by Rey Benipayo

This Is Not Paradise

This is not paradise
Don’t be a fool
This land you know,
This land you live
Is a living hell
Silent deaths is everywhere
Criminals living next door
Corruptors are great leaders
Every single person is blind
And mute for the rest of their lives
They are also greed and money lust
No one can be trusted
Even your own blood
Don’t fall to their genius trap
Be awake and aware at all time
They’re all talented
Don’t blink a second
The land you called paradise
Is not what you think
It‘s the land you’ll regret you’ve been
Think twice before you visit
Or live for the rest of your life
They call this paradise
May be by their imagination,
Or they just dreaming.
