This Poetress Poem by Heather Z. Hanna

This Poetress

I read the lady's words,
This poetress.
Her words were so like mine
Or mine were so like hers.
A reflection of my feelings,
Could we be so alike?
Except when she says
That her words are gift from God,
That is where I find,
I had not thought of my words,
As His gift, .
But just a simple utterance
To ease the troubled mind.
Or take the restless soul
To the quiet place.
Or just maybe, a reflectance of the world before me.
A something that must come out,
To air.
To be said and left alone.
Perhaps, one day someone will read mine
And feel the same.
