This Thing Called Life Poem by Luvo Mjayezi

This Thing Called Life

It's quite an unfair advantage that you have on me
The laws that govern your world go against my very nature
Your wavering standards confuse me
Your complex design amazes me
The dynamics of your characteristics challenge me in the most profound manner
You are my Everest and conquering you will be my greatest endeavor
It is an outrage that I should be so perplexed by you
Yet you are by far a worthy opponent and I fear with what little courage I have I may lack the stamina to keep up with you
Indeed you have had me 'measured and found me wanting
It will be an utmost intense task surviving your hostility and your relentless tenacity to dominate me
You are far beyond my limits
I will have to conjure up the most cunning of schemes to lock heads with you and we shall see who will have the last laugh…
