Those Days On Campus - By Dolston Morian

T'was at evening tide under the soft of light
As I sat and dine at table twenty-two
When she graciously stepped in the cafe
She was bright and breezy as the wind

As I looked at her gorgeous flow
To my eyes she was filled with glee
Her cheeks were tender as a rose
She did not know what I knew then.

So I get me to be introduced
To this warm and pretty lady
And in my most courteous way
I said in sweet relay I heard about your coming.

So as the days, and weeks rolled on
We talked, and smiled, and learned
My heart grew fonder with love for her
And the more we grew towards each other

Allow me just to call to mind
That day when campus had no water
I got you then a tub of this scarcity
The other girls left with jaw-dropping surprise.

And now that we so long have wed
I reflect on the campus evening dawns
What wondrous and precious memories
While holding hands and sitting on the green lawns

Those times we prayed with great earnest
Those pictures we took along the campus streets
They really tell such precious story
I will never forget the nostalgia I felt
Sitting on the blue towel
And laughing under Gilbert campus tree.
