Thought Process Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

I did not come to entertain you.
You have been detained.
To inspect for a thought process...
You may or may not possess.
And if you display,
Any of that in depth!
You may be held suspect...
For having a mind,
That comprehends respect.
Do you realize how many,
Have not passed this test?
And if you give me eye contact...
I will know you are not among the rest.
So many have done their best,
To avoid any thinking at all...
That involves a comprehension,
Requiring them to digest!
