Thoughts In Winter Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Thoughts In Winter

As dew drops fall from
The fronds and tips of leaves
My thought goes to the sky
Seeking the light to make them
Sparkle like nuggets of diamond

As mist cascades down
The slopes of verdant hills
My thought goes to the deep
Foliage waiting impatiently to get
Caressed and shine like newly born

As the cool wind comes
Blowing from across the valley
My thought goes to the new buds
Getting ready to open their petals
To spill essence and colors in to the air

As the sun appears through
The clouds shedding its pale ray
My thought goes to the many playful
Creatures coming out to the open to
Feel the warmth of the morning hours
