Thousands Perish Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Thousands Perish

Thousands perish

It is no good
If not understood
The meaning of life's journey
It is all mercy from an almighty

There is no dying
But honestly living
With world so blissfully gifted
And you ignorantly shifted

What you did was simple duty!
That is done by everybody
You were merely discharging an obligation
Toward elders, family members and children

Take credit for living
As you were believing
You did not trouble any one
Or snatched or gave to some one

Thousands perish daily
Without taken note really
At least we spent happily
And now may depart for heavenly gate
