Three Candles Poem by Janine Ecks

Three Candles

Forbidden fruit
Passion in the eye, but ever mute
Sudden as a sweet caress is had and lost
Intrigue flickered on

A breathless name
Uttered in a whisper, in a flame
Caught in shivers of sensation
Trickling down the spine like thick honey

Candy lips spout garlic verse
Whose words become my drug
Lustrous, lucid mind
Searching for truth no one could find

A glimpse into the future
By pathway of creation without bounds
A runaway affair on open sea
These are the desires inside of me
