Throwback Cold Cuts Poem by Walterrean Salley

Throwback Cold Cuts

During element'ry school
Lunchtime became a drag
For the bologna sandwich
In my little brown lunch bag.

My favorite was spice ham,
Which I loved on grilled cheese.
Made bologna mediocre,
And a cold cut for the breeze.

Now turkey is my favorite
Amongst the family of cold cuts.
Which I find healthy and tasteful
No ifs, or ands, or I's, or buts.
The cold cuts are an old side kick
And so co convenient, take your pick.
