I waited and waited
Till the night turned into day
I was totally distressed
Not to find Your whereabouts.
I took my favorite folding fan in hand
And gently waved to provide You relief
You never came and sleep never approached me
The gentle breeze moved away slowly.
The disturbing thoughts that emanated in me
Kept me agitated all night long
I kept seeing You as I closed my eyes
I felt lonely on opening them.
I kept adoring You with true faith in You
I keep Your image firmly perched in my mind
It matters not You didn't come this night
I'll wait for You till the end of my life.
