Time - Poem by Erica Riley

Heed these words
Hear the rhyme,
There can be no cowards,
For we are at a loss for time,
You had no clue.

But I really did love you,
With all my heart,
And all my soul,
When we had to part,
My heart became a hole.

You didn’t know at the time,
You stole my heart,
But you were always mine,
And yet you ripped my heart apart,
But I pretended to be fine.

Heed these words
Hear the rhyme,
There can be no cowards,
For we are at a loss for time,
And you will never have a clue.
