Time Poem by DAVID TERRY

Time

Time seems an equalizer
Time sort of heals
It doesn’t take away the hurt
But it lessens the appeal

When you lose someone dear
Their heart they deny
Time takes away fear
And truthens the lies

Some time between now
And then is on deck
To see where it leads you
Away from the wreck

And the further you go
Away from that day
The easier you know
What time has to say

What time seems to tell you
Is that it’s not all
For healing the best of you
Since you’re done with the fall

Only He above can heal
Only He almighty knows
What it takes to overcome
What’s needed to grow

Repent and forgive
Forgive and forget
Then let Him take guilt
And leave no regret

And in these He uses
Time as the mortar
To rebuild and restore
Your heart in good order

He uses good time
So that when you forgive
You walk now sublime
In the new life you live
