Time Poem by Thomas Enriquez

Time

Time
Selfish and Inpatient!
Can't even wait ONE Minute?
Maybe he could get the answer to his life
If only he had "ONE" more second
But the clock displayed within his heart had run out!
How could time be so selfish?
Timing me to write these words
Ticking
As if my life was a timed bomb
Knowing that with every key stroke
I'm only writing the Story to my own Death!
The silent Killer
I keep Questioning!
What would change my life?
What to do next?
"Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock" Time Said.
My questions went unanswered
How Ego centric could time be?
I have a family to Provide for
Bills to pay
That's obviously not the answer I'm looking for!
But It's the only answer time could give!
I asked "How to change my Life? "
Time kept ticking
I Asked" What to do next? "
I only needed "ONE" more second
They say "Only Time Will Telll"
I had already wasted too much time asking Questions
Time tried to tell me that No matter what
He would be sure to keep ticking
Persistent time Is
Too naïve to stop and pay attention
The clock displayed within my heart had run out!
