Time Ago Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Time Ago

Rating: 5.0

How can your brain whisk away,
Bad memories
Of another time.
The hell that came your way?

Why can't we just put them away.
So we can continue on.
Live;
In the day?

We want to relive
Such horrible times.
When killings okay.
Not a crime.

War is obscene
It blows the mind.
Gives us pause
Locks us in time.

Time from long ago.
In the far distant past.
Man...how it really
Kicks your ass.
