Time Alone Poem by Inner Whispers

Time Alone

Time doesn't wait
It comes. It goes
Life is but a race against time
Or is it?
Or are we just imagining that it is so?

For in truth we can choose
To run after time and exhaust ourselves
Or let time flow
And live at the moment
Aware of the movement of time
But not enslaving oneself to its regimented demands
And exposing oneself to bring left behind.
Or will we?
Or are we just imagining that it is so?

But then again there are times when time stops
In a way. Forgotten. Unheeded
As when i am locked in our lover's embrace.
When our souls are locked in its dance of love
Bringing with it all of ourselves
Spirit, mind, body.
Intertwined. We forget.

Let it flow.
Time will have to wait.
For us to choose to part. For a while.
To gather more strength
And to lock each other in our timeless embrace.
