Time Shapes A Half Century Poem by Terence George Craddock

Time Shapes A Half Century

we are born
we crawl
we walk
we turn around
a few times
suddenly
half a century
is gone

parts may be sad
include modified
artificial or still
be happy all original
time shapes a half century
time desires to reclaim twenties

memory desires to be
not the dirty thirties
naughty forties
but the kick ass fifties
a desire to walk to run
to kick ass any task
under afternoon sun
in souls immune to age
