Time___The Great Master Poem by Ehsan Ehsan

Time___The Great Master

TIME -THE GREAT MASTER

I have two grandsons, very lovely
Shehryar of nine and a half and Saadi of eight
They are very mischievous and naughty as well
They are often at war with me for computer
They occupy my seat and do not
Allow me to work as much as I like
They have distributed their time for themselves
And that is for most of the 24 hours
Last evening they were busy on computer
Very busy as I thought from their absorption on games
I had just finished my evening meal
And asked Sher Yar take away
The utensils back to kitchen
He asked me to ask Saadi instead
I asked him again and he said he had
Already gone there to bring the salt
Now I was infuriated on his disobedience
I got up myself to take away the things
When Saadi jumped and took the things from me
I rebuked Shehr Yar for having no sense of responsibility

And asked him to get out of my room, he went away
I passed a very disturbed night
First for his disobedience and second
For my being rude to him
The next day he did not come to me
But looked to be very ashamed of him
In the evening Saadi came to me
And asked me ten rupee, his daily allowance
Sheh Yar stayed outside and was reluctant to come in
I asked Saadi to bring him in to me
He came and I gave him ten rupees also
They went to shop and brought their toffees
Sheyar felt that I was no angrier with him
I was also happy within myself to forget
He stood before me and I asked him by the way
"Are you not ashamed of yourself", I said
He smiled and said, "Forget Baba Jee"
Let be gone be by gone, " he looked at me
And went away smiling and I
Kept on thinking of the Great Master Time
That had made the young generation so advanced!
