Tipping Poem by Alice Affi

Tipping

Anger, Bitterness, Hatred, Envy, Self-loathing, Inconfidence, Self-pity, Doubt, Meaninglessness, Fear, Ingratitude
These are my filthy stinking dregs
Contaminating defiled purity
This is the vessel I have to offer
Useless, unworthy of Your presence
Accept this gift O God
Take it from me
And send in the tippers
to filter out pure honesty truth
Christ's mercy grace hope love
New Wine
The blood of Jesus
And with it fill my empty body
Dead to self
Thus truely alive
