Tittynope Poem by RIC BASTASA

Tittynope

my friends of this tiny universe
we better be for a little time be precise
on the tittynopes
waste a part of your precious bread
in your hunger be charitable to the table
scatter some crumbs for the ants to carry
to their queen on one said of the porcelain
plate,
brown Asians who love rice, be good and thoughtful
of your Vietnamese brothers,
leave a few drops of coconut wine remain on the
side of your earthen grail
and at the bottom of the bowl sprinkle some
grains of rice, be kind,
leave some to the floor, for the nimble dogs
top nibble.
