To Be Filled Poem by Jason Summers

To Be Filled

Do you know what it's like to be alone?
No motivation, just sitting at home.
No desire to get up or walk around
Just sleep all day or hang your head to the ground.
I've been there, not going back again.
A woman in my life that will always be my friend,
We share our time, patient in our will
No longer asking when our hearts will be filled.
Our life has brought us the fruit of our love
We can sit silently and smile knowing what our thoughts speak of.
Each day we grow together more closely
There is nothing I wouldn't do for my one and only.
There is no subject too touchy or words that are harsh,
True compassion will always come from the heart.
I can't hardly wait to see what our future holds
It is just within our reach ready for our hands to mold.
One day at a time is what we will find
Bringing us closer until the end of time.
I'm thankful and happy for the love I have found
By God's love my heart will be faithfully bound.
