To Carry A Grudge Poem by Warren Brown

To Carry A Grudge

Ted is for carrying it on, hey
But holding a grudge is a shame
Let bygones be bygones I say
Let kinship and love make a claim!

Its not nice to be holding a grudge
And unhealthy to live in the past.
So why don't the erase your smudge
And join the family, together at last

Be pure of heart my darling
That is all that I ask -
Just like a flag that's unfurling
Let the sunlight give you a mask!

It won't hurt in the least
You don't have to dally at all -
And come the annual Christmas feast
The cause of your grudge can sit at the end, far up the hall!
