Ode To Ms Windows Poem by Warren Brown

Ode To Ms Windows

My computer is my slave
And the money that I gave
To obtain this little wonder
Near burst the bank asunder!

I tried to get an ‘Apple'
The better with which to tackle
This thing they call ‘The Internet'
But Telstra wouldn't lay the bet.

They were rather fussy
Single minded, rather bossy
The only choice I had, a PC clone
I didn't like it, makes me moan!

A ‘normal' PC was all that I could see
I must adopt the herd mentality
Along with all the other users
And be lost amongst the losers!

Now the computer itself, it is OK
My objection is the guy who's holding sway
He's holding the world for ransoms
With his fancy software programs

‘Windows', chapter and verse
With dialog boxes rather terse
Advises "Windows has a problem
And needs to close", sorry, there's a Goblin!

It makes me mad as hell
Does ‘Windows' warning bell -
A pox upon Bill Gates I say
Were a hammer handy, I may… I just may!
