I've just to close my eyes
To see the flowers in the meadow,
The grasses flowing gently,
Subtle greens and brilliant yellow.
I've just to close my eyes
To hear the guitars mellow tune,
The dancing folk where childrens smiles,
Embrace the hippie moon.
I've just to close my eyes
To see the camp fire's golden glow,
The good folk singing old songs,
By the river's gentle flow.
I've just to close my eyes
To hear the oceans subtle tones,
The waves alive in turquoise hues,
Violet blue in the deeper zones.
I've just to close my eyes
To feel the upmost solitude,
The silence with its passive hum,
To enhance the mellow mood.
So even on the busy days,
When evening comes around,
I'll close my eyes and there it is,
Sweet pacifier found.
Sarah, You are among my most favourite poets, whose poems, I come back to re-read often...
Hi Sarah, A poem coming from your heart and touching the reader on his very heart! Exquisitely rendered. One has to just close one's eyes to open his heart/life to the nature, to outside, to oneself. Once one closes one's eyes, everything around comes to life: the dancing green of the meadows, the mellow tunes of guitar, a folk-song beside the camp-fire, ocean's subtle tones and torqouise waves, the solitude reverberating in silence.., yes, everything you cherish, everything you want to see, hear and touch.. A very good one to come back to read again...100++
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed this one so much. The pleasures in life really are there always, in the blink of an eye. Thank you for your generous vote too Unnikrishnan

I don´t know why, but your poems touch my very heart constantly in a way I cannot explain.. Indeed, closing the eyes conjures magic, we can concentrate and let them appear, time and again. The hearth shows a pleasant warmth, coziest rendered. An amazingky 10 and much more!
