To Conor Poem by Michael J ORourke2

To Conor

Among the people whom you know
One towers above your infant breath
The sole empress of your being
Brave enought o hope for... your auroral cry
- Harbinger of the Vernal Equinox

Among the mothers you've never seen
Outwardly and inwardly
One smiles above your crib tonight
Whose water at Lourdes did first conceive
Pushing the chords- that we believe

Among the miracles that faith will show
Warming the cold air, the cold breath...
and the winter snow
One embraces that divine scepter
Directing all to life's golden theme
Another birth- another master stroke
of God's grand scheme!
