To Fly Off The Handle. Poem by Konstantin Ananin

To Fly Off The Handle.

- Where is this terrible boy?
- Please, don’t fly off the handle, Roy.
- What a strange idea, Emma!
If I’ve flown off, am I a hammer?
- No, but the result is the same:
Yesterday a book flew through the pane.
- But he took my watch to pieces.
- And you broke the pane and two vases.
- Today he has taken
The TV. It’ll be broken.
- Don’t take the third vase if
You don’t want to break it.
