To Govern Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

To Govern

To govern

Poem is rumpled and is dimpled
It has words and feelings diluted
To carry logic and duty must rumble.

Once I wrote ‘she and she'
Intended with meaning.
Some read and do not care
Some just read the surface
Some never, neglected...

Now I write of escape
Criminals, convicted
With feelings once again
I expose the seabed
All the way to its earth
You find it for yourself.

Drug was business
Their job kills humans
Criminals; what a shame
Arrested, convicted, went to jail
Penalty to be faced was/is death.

They are bad, I agree
Want to live; disagree?
Life…sweet…dear life
To escape they paid off
The only way to life…
Was to find the corrupt:
"Pay money and get out."
Somebody must have said.

If ever arrested…
The corrupt knows the way
Will kill the paymaster
Corrupt sells, corrupt buys
Corrupt kills with drugs
And with guns; also pen
They make laws to govern…
These shepherds know us well!
