To Hold You Once More Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

To Hold You Once More

Your voice no longer heard,
Your face no longer seen,
How can you disappear?
Oh death how can this be?
For i have loved a soul,
That meant so much to me,
That hand i long to hold,
Now gone, like a ship on the sea.
I dream of you at night,
You are my guiding star,
I need to hold you tight,
But you're in heaven far,
The time, one day will come
When we'll meet once again,
Beneath the glowing sun,
I'll dream of you till then.
