To Make A Difference Poem by Francis Duggan

To Make A Difference

To make a difference in the World have you got what it does take
It is those who are different a difference can only make
The ordinary never does instigate change
They only do look on those different as strange
Of the praises of celebrities the ordinary sing
To further inflate big egos it does seem their thing
But since the wealthy and egotistical they celebrate
A better World to live in they never help to create
Most of those who make a real difference to humanity are strangers to fame
And few seem to know of them even by name
For them there is never a lusty hooray
Yet for the improvement of humanity they work every day
To make a difference in the World have you what it does take
Since it is only one who is different a difference can make.
