To Make It Serene Poem by Adhitiyaa Elango

To Make It Serene

When I was a small kid, they told me
That God answers our prayers.
However trying the situation might be,
He would be a life saver.

When I was a young boy, I faced
Lots of examinations.
I asked God to help me as time raced;
My voice found no recognition.

When I was doing business, I underwent
A lot of losses.
My energy and time in praying I spent;
But it seemed to gather no moss.

When I was a husband, my relationship
went through shocks of adversities.
To bridge the gap between us I would worship;
There wasn't any response from his sanctity.

When my life was a total wreck, I was determined
To end my life and then He intervened.
He offered me help; 'To hell with it', I whined.
Standing on the cliff, hoping to make my life serene...
