To My Own Juliet Poem by Gerhardus Keen

To My Own Juliet

O, could I but gaze into those glimmering eyes once more, unto which stars fade and the beauty of thy face from which the moon hideth because of the loss of its radiance from that, that shone like sparkling diamonds from thy beauteous complexion.
Would I have drowned in thy laughter and smothered in thy beauty, all would not have been in vain, for I would have died a noble death, knowing that I had a glance into the eyes of a celestial being with love and beauty unequalled by mere mortals on this place called earth.
