To My Perfectly Imperfect Valentine Poem by Darren Grindley

I can't say everything is perfect as that would be a lie,
BUT I can promise you one thing for you I'd surely die.
I'd take a knife to my heart or even a bullet to my head,
as you are the butter to my loaf of tiger bread.
You lift me up when I am down and wipe away my tears,
for when I'm laying next to you I'm free from all my fears.
I hope you realise the extent of my love, and how amazing you are to me,
I no longer feel trapped in my thoughts you've made me feel free.
free to love, free to live, free to be happy with you,
All I want one day in the future is for you to say "I do"
Loving you ain't easy, you make it really tough,
but I'll still love you til the end of time, for me you're more than enough.
To end this poem off I'd just like you to see,
I love you more and more each day and you mean the world to me xxxx
