To Nurture Another's Growth Poem by Mohammad Younus

To Nurture Another's Growth

To nurture another's growth—
is this not the thread that binds us,
the quiet stitch that holds the fabric of our days?

Empathy drifts in,
a breeze stirring the stillness within,
while kindness spills like morning light,
warming the faces we meet.

In lifting another,
we ascend—
not by force,
but as if our burdens shift,
shaping into soft contours of possibility.

A smile—offered not for ourselves,
but for the joy it sparks in another's eyes.
A hand—extended not for thanks,
but because the heart cannot resist
the beauty of reaching out.

Here, in this exchange,
trust unfolds like petals—
fragile at first,
then bold in full bloom.

We breathe the shared air
of a world softened by care,
where no walls remain—
only the open sky of hearts
rising together with the sun.

This is not duty,
but the quiet longing to witness
another's victory—
knowing that in their ascent,
we too find wings.
