This is very powerful Lorna.........great poem! I especially liked the '' not the water in the wells in which we feel we are drowning. ' That's a great analogy....nice job. Sincerely, Mary

I heard the call and I respond! This poem you have written is not only 'great' stuff, it is correct and honest! I understand.5th line from the bottom...'You black male(s) should be our shelters' I have a 'creative' thought about this...bear with me. (Reading) 'You have blackmailed us and should be our shelters' OR 'You, black male...should be our shelter! ' Either way...Lorna, I like this very much! L
