To The Seeker Who Seeks Presence Poem by Mohammad Younus

To The Seeker Who Seeks Presence

To the seeker who seeks presence,
I offer this ancient wisdom,
Do not sift through the ashes of the past—
its shadows cling,
a veil over the eyes,
a weight upon the heart.

Do not chase the horizon of the future—
its promises shimmer,
like mirages in the desert,
always retreating,
always just beyond your reach.

Instead,
become the moment.
Let it rise and fall with your breath,
a rhythm as ancient as the tides,
as intimate as your own pulse.

Be the seed cradled by the earth,
held in the quiet,
in the dark,
in the fertile silence
where life begins.

Take love as your companion—
not a distant beloved,
not a dream to be met in some far-off land,
but a light within,
a flame that refines,
that sharpens your vision,
that anchors you here,
now.

With love as your guide,
you will no longer wander,
no longer strain toward illusions—
the meeting, the reunion,
the someday, the somewhere.

You will stand in the fullness of now,
where eternity lives
in the beat of your heart,
in the breath that fills your lungs,
in the stillness that holds you.

Here,
in this moment,
you will find what you seek—
not as a destination,
not as a prize to be won,
but as the only truth,
the only reality,
already whole,
already yours.

God willing,
you will come to know this moment
as your home.
And in it,
you will be alive.
