To Walk Through Fields Of Green Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

To Walk Through Fields Of Green

The melancholy sounds,
Of the music soothed my mind,
Leaving all my worries,
For the moment far behind.

And as I close my eyes,
It takes me back to days,
Of walks through fields of green,
Through the valley way.

Those moments touched my soul,
Sweet butterflies around,
The tree where we would sit,
That place,
One day we found.

Those days in summer breeze,
My heart felt only you,
The apples of my eyes,
I loved you through and through.

And then I hear our song,
Tears fall, upon my cheeks,
For I will not forget,
Your memory's mine to keep.
