To Write Tomorrow Poem by Terence George Craddock

To Write Tomorrow

to write tomorrow could not wait
to write tomorrow way to late
to write tomorrow I would hate

to quote the infamous Forrest Gump
"from that day on if I was going anywhere I was running"
well for no particular reason
if I was going anywhere I was writing

in my mind I was writing

you might not know it you might not think it you might not see it but I was writing

there might have been long gaps no posting but I was writing

poems were always in the head
I may not have always written them out
I may have let a thousand or more go but I was writing

write write write write write...

poems written in the head you cannot read but I was writing
poems written in the head you cannot access but I was writing
poems written in the head you cannot know but I was writing

writing poems I was running running against the wind
writing poems I was running running against time
writing poems I was running running against eternity

to leave but a few short thoughts behind for no particular reason

to leave
but a few
short thoughts

behind
for no
particular reason

to wake
is to feel
a need for writing

for no particular reason

just running
running running
running with words
