Today
Today you spent
your day with me
and life was great and we were happy.
Some shops caught your eye
and there wasn’t any parking
at the fruit and veg,
but your beautiful smile
and the look in your eye
truly blessed me.
Today I heard you say
that you love me
and I knew that every word
came from your heart
and I want to be in every memory
and help you to dream
of what life really can be.
