Today Poem by Francis Duggan

Today has not been a good day for me things for me have not been going right
I feel like one pushing a barrow of concrete up a very steep height
The weight of the World is on my shoulders at least that is how it does feel anyway
But with hope i do look to tomorrow as tomorrow is a brand new day
We all have our good and our bad days that's life one would have to suppose
For life is not all wine and roses life too does have it's heavy blows
You win some you lose some as some say that is how life is meant to be
In many ways i am so lucky there's so many worse off than me
Each day you live through not a bad day the gift of life is a great thing
Tomorrow for me will be better and who knows what the future will bring
The good days I'll take with the bad days but of hope i will never despair
Through the bad days i just keep on going determined for to hang in there
Today has not been one of my good days but in a few hours today will be gone
And i take the bad with the good days and i just keep on keeping on.
