Today... 'Fortress' Poem by Roy Allen

Today... 'Fortress'

Upon Calvary's Hill a Fortress stood
founded upon a Rock so sure and good.
He is my deliverer and my shield
and before Him the gates of hell shall yield.

My eternal Stronghold and Refuge sure
keeping me safe from harm and all secure.
He is my Rock and my Deliverer
The Lord Almighty and my Redeemer.

The Bible calls You by many names
each one giving a glimpse of Your glory.
Like a cut diamond radiating in the sun
with every facet depicting an aspect
of Your Divine Nature.
Today I have thought of You as
'A Fortress'
